How to Create a dynamic calendar in excel for any month in any year

In this lesson, I we learn how to create a very useful dynamic calendar in excel for any month in the past or in the future and the able to change it on the fly by selecting different options from a drop list.

In this project

1. We’ll create 2 drop list for the month and the year.
2. We’ll then learn about dates in Excel
3. We’ll then build up the required start date for our calendar using: DATE function & VLOOKUP function
4. We’ll then define a name for our created a date
5. We start creating a setup for our calendar using: WEEKDAY function & IF function
6. We’ll then improve appearance of our calendar. And apply some conditional formatting
7. Finally, we test our calendar by using our drop list.
